[ARCHIVED] Mission: Clean Stream

Mission Clean Stream 2

Join Us!
On Saturday, April 2, join Greenway Network, St. Charles County and the communities of Cottleville, Dardenne Prairie, Lake Saint Louis, O’Fallon, St. Charles, St. Peters, and Wentzville help to remove trash from local streams and lakes.

Mission: Clean Stream has evolved into a challenge for many to do some serious damage to the amount of trash in our waterways in a very short amount of time.  In 2019, roughly 1,000 volunteers pulled 10 tons of trash out of Dardenne, Peruque, Belleau, Spencer and Cole Creeks in about two hours.

And even better, Mission: Clean Stream has gotten creative with the objects volunteers find in creeks.  Local artists will be on site creating new works of eco-art from salvaged metal for the Stream Trash ART (START) project.

Register Now!
Register the day of at the event or register by using the electronic waiver form on the Greenway Network website. Be sure to put “Lake Saint Louis Clean Stream” in the “Event Name” line on the form. The link is: https://www.greenwaynetwork.org/waiver-release-form/

Volunteers from the Lake Saint Louis area will rendezvous and check-in at Jefferson Point on Civic Center Drive in Lake St. Louis at 8:30 am.  Everyone is asked to dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes or boots, and bring gloves and a water bottle.  Transportation is not provided.  Food and Drink will not be provided due to Covid-19.

If you have any questions, please contact Brian Schanuel in Public Works at 636-265-3689.

This community-wide event is sponsored by the cities above, Greenway Network, Inc, Missouri Stream Team, Cee Kay Supply, Inc. and Walmart.  Financial donations are also appreciated for supplies and to defray the cost of tire disposal.   Contributions can be made through http://greenwaynetwork.org, greenwaynetwork@gmail.com or by calling (636) 498-0772.

See you at the creek!
