Apply for a Business License

Chapter 605 of the Lake Saint Louis Municipal Code regulates licenses for businesses within the City of Lake Saint Louis.

The business licensing period is from July 1st through June 30th annually.

All new businesses physically located within the City limits of Lake Saint Louis need to to contact the Community Development Dept. at 636-625-7936 to verify their use is permitted in the zoning district where they intend to do business. Once verified, complete the steps listed below to obtain a Lake Saint Louis business license.

All individuals or companies offering their services for hire and/or engaging in construction activities within the City limits of Lake Saint Louis are required to have a City of Lake Saint Louis contractor's business license prior to engaging in construction activities and to maintain a business license throughout the time in which they engage in construction activities.

Business License fees are payable by credit/debit card online. If you prefer to pay by check you must first complete the online application, then make out your check payable to City of Lake Saint Louis, mail or drop off your check to City Hall, 200 Civic Center Drive, Lake Saint Louis, MO 63367

Business Emergency Contact Form - If you have a new business that is physically located within the City limits of Lake Saint Louis you will need to fill out the Emergency Contact form and email or mail it to the Police Dept. as noted on the bottom of the form.
