St. Charles County Humane Services

Animal control services in Lake Saint Louis are not provided directly by the City, but rather are handled by St. Charles County Humane Services. Residents with an animal related concern should call St. Charles County Humane Services at 636-949-PETS (7387), Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Further contact information can be found through the Resource Directory.

Emergency Services

Emergency services - after business hours, on Sundays, and holidays - can be accessed by calling the St. Charles County Sheriff’s Department at 636-949-0809. St. Charles County Humane Services offices and adoption center are located at 4850 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, across from the St. Charles County Community College Campus.

  • Low-cost micro-chipping for all residents

  • Quarantine of biting animals
  • Removal of biting or injured wildlife
  • Removal of dead animals
  • Response to service request Monday through Saturday (Emergency services are provided on Sundays)
