As we approach election season, the City would like to remind you of certain restrictions on the use of political/campaign signage around your home.
Living With in Lake Saint Louis Community Association Boundaries
First of all, please note that if your home is within the boundaries of the Lake Saint Louis Community Association, no political or campaign signs whatsoever are allowed. This limitation is provided for in the CA’s Declaration of Covenants and Restrictions.
Living Outside Lake Saint Louis Community Association Boundaries
If, however, your home is located within the Lake Saint Louis City limits but outside the CA’s boundaries, the following restrictions apply:
One yard sign (maximum size of 6 square feet on each of two sides) is permitted for each street frontage.
Political/campaign signs must be located at least 10 feet in back of (away from) the curb or edge of pavement where no curb exists.
Finally, the Board of Aldermen has requested that no signs be displayed earlier than two weeks before an election and that they be removed the day after the election.
If you have questions or need additional information, please contact the City’s Office of Community Development at 636-625-1200.
